Personal confession: When I was amongst other people growing up, as much as I appreciated having someone else heading the conversation so I didn’t have to, I also resented not being given the chance to at least try to carry on the talking myself. But others were so used to talking for me that I don’t think they noticed when I was finally old enough to feel like I could say something without feeling totally stupid. Yay, introversion!

Yes, too late. Like many of us, she’d probably like to travel back in time and shake herself, if she could.
Red hair never showed up on either side of our family until I was born. But since then it’s shown up several times in other branches of the family tree.
Funny how genetics can be both surprising and predictable. Only way to explain some of the stuff that’s shown up in our family tree…
