Chapter 5: Page 13
Wow, it’s been almost a month since I’ve been able to get a page to you guys! In case you missed it, I got the flu last week and missed out on a lot more than finishing the latest page. I’m glad to be able to get it to you now, but we’re not back to a regular schedule yet.
Because of being sick so much, I’m behind on everything and am becoming paralyzed by overwhelm when I look at my snowballing to-do list. I’m adding back only a little responsibility at a time because this flu has left me tired and fragile and I have no intention of relapsing. Pages will keep coming, but may continue to be erratic for now. To find out when a new page is up, you can always follow me on social media.

I have a question. When a fairy ask you to pay with some item/thing you own that is very important to you, would the fairy ask for more than one thing/item?
It’s probably best if I don’t speak for all fairies. 😀 Based on everything I’ve read, though, they don’t tend to be greedy.
Oh Ina’s face. Pure joy and relief;like she finally feels like she’s getting somewhere. I love how the pixie looks. He’s growing on me!
Get better soon! Health is all important! We can wait! Hope you and you’re puppy are doing well, besides.
I’m glad you honed in on that! 🙂 Ina could use some encouragement. Who knows where she might get if she lets go of the anger and acts with a little confidence?
Take the time you need. Health comes first.
I can’t shake the feeling that Ina would end up staying in the fairy world.
To clarify, I feel it would happen for 2 reasons:
1. As we’ve learnt several times – everything has a price. I doubt that one human would be set free unless another stayed behind.
2. In the real world, she was always in her sister’s shadow. Here, she’s getting things done by herself so staying would be tempting.
Very interesting theory! I like the way you’re thinking. Can’t tell you if you’re right or not, though. 😀
So here’s some advice from someone much older than yourself.
That Overwhelmed By The To-Do List thing … is … The Enemy. Do not feed it. It will take everything you have and then still point at you and call you dumb and lazy and insult your choice of clothing and tell you there is a bit of spinach in your teeth.
We all try to do too much. The world wants us to obsess over finances, deadlines, transportation, politics, ohcrapit’salreadygonetohell; whatever.
Remember to breathe. There’s a limit to what each one of us can do. Some days I have to remind myself, “left foot first, then right foot, then left foot again”. I’ve gained enough wisdom to stick my tongue out at all those that would steal little bits of my soul. (Well, mostly.)
Everyone wants your time, your attention, your money, and everything else. Instead, put on pink sunglasses with rhinestones and wiggle your ears at them. That will confuse them and maybe they will go bother somebody else.
You may think I’m being flip but I’m quite serious. Honestly it’s taken me decades to get to this.
You’re right, that’s exactly my challenge at the moment. Thank you for the advice!
